Remote Data Backup Service
-
1. The PcOffice Rx Backup software system is installed on your Windows or Linux-based server. (Or opt for the fully installed software/hardware solution.)
-
The install software, the web-based administration panel and the remote data backup client software are branded in your company name.
-
3. The client backup software is deployed to your customers’ computers (unlimited clients) and configured options are set (versions, compression level, encryption, e-mail notifications, etc.).
-
4. Data backup sets are created manually via an Explorer-like window or by using the easy to use Wizard on the client computer. Backup sets can then be scheduled.
-
The data backup set is then compressed, encrypted and transferred back to the backup server where it resides in an encrypted state until a restore action is called.
-
6. In the event of a restore, the data backup set is selected from the saved backup set dialog box. The restore option allows restoring a specific version, a specific file or all the files. Also, the files can be restored to their original location or to any new location. Other features include the option to overwrite or replace files upon restore.
-
Lastly, the admin panel monitors and logs all data backup and restore functions. This allows the Admin (at any level) to have full control over the data backup process.
